PHY. ED. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 4-8
Watch the video below and create your own mini competitions throughout the week.
Students, try and create some fun competitions. Be creative, work hard, and have fun! Tell me about a competition you had in the form below. If you have no one to compete with, make up a challenge, then attempt to improve!

Some of the neat competitions kids shared with me included:
"A competition to see who could throw a rock the farthest into Lake Superior." -Samantha G. (K) "My family had a tripod competition. It’s when you put your head and hands on the floor and then balance your knees on your arms and then lift your feet off the floor. Like the start of a headstand. It was fun to learn but I couldn’t balance for very long. My mom was the winner. " -Elizabeth (5), Xavier (2) and Vincent P. (K) "My favorite competition was when me and my sisters saw who could balance in Pase the longest. Pase is a dance move where you stand on one leg with your foot on your knee and balance in releve. I won." -Samantha S. (7) "Bouncing on the trampoline as many times as you can with one foot." Kirsten W. (1) "We have a miniature putting green at our house (to improve your putting skills), so we had contests to se who could make it in what hole from what distance. It was fun!" -Keira R. (7) "Easter Egg Hockey - use wooden spoons as hockey sticks and plastic Easter eggs as the puck!" -Cameron P. (1) "I tried challenging myself to a balance competition on a piece of wood. It was fun being creative with the challenge." -Olivia C. (6) "Had to hold a weight over my head. First to lower the weight lost." -Sydney T. (1) "I did the penguin challenge. Run with ball between knees. If you drop it you have to do 5 jumping jacks. Whoever gets done first wins." -Brendan M. (6) "Hanging Rope Challenge, tie a rope to a tree branch, who can hang from the rope the longest with out touching the ground?" Mark E. (6) "I played a lot games with my parents. We did planks and wall sit-ups. We did jumping jacks, bocce ball and played tag around the house. My favorite game was soccer in our backyard. I made the most goals. We had an award ceremony. I got first place and won a big cup!" -Eliana B. (K) |
